My name is Koki Mori, and I was accepted into Sophia University. I first decided that I wanted to study in Japan on my first trip to Tokyo during my sophomore year in high school. I immediately fell in love and knew that I was going to come here no matter what. During that summer, I started studying for the SAT and was discouraged at my starting score 1000. Despite my low score, I tried my best every day to raise my score to 1400 at least. After 1full year of studying, I was able to raise my score to 1390. The next step in my journey was to complete my essay for Keio PEARL, Waseda SPSE, and Sophia SPSF. I started by writing my Keio PEARL essay with a local tutoring institution but soon realized that they were not as reliable as I imagined at first. During that same time, I met Mainichi Gakushuukai through their YouTube videos. I instantly knew that they were reliable and set up an evaluation session with them. They were very helpful in all categories from information on essays, environment, and the college itself. After attending the classes, I was surprised by the strictness and straightforwardness of the teachers. That ended up being the key factor in writing my essay. We went through countless revisions and topics changed but ended up finding the perfect one. After 3 months of writing my essay, I completed the Keio PEARL and Sophia SPSF essays. I took a break until Waseda Applications opened and just as Waseda Applications closed, I was informed that I was accepted into Sophia University. I cannot express how grateful I am for this institution and its teachings, but I recommend any future applications to learn from Mainichigaku Gakushukai.
