My name is Koki Mori and this is my journey to Waseda University’s SILS program. It all began with a memorable trip to Tokyo during the sophomore year of high school. The vibrancy of the city instantly drew me in, and I possessed an unwavering determination to study in Japan. SAT prep began that summer, beginning with the daunting reality of a 1000 score. Undeterred, I dedicated myself to studying every day, resolved to get a 1400. Twelve months of consistent effort brought my score to 1390, which reinforced my resolve.
The second significant task was composing essays for Keio PEARL, Waseda SPSE, and Sophia SPSF. I initially sought the help of a local tutoring school for essay guidance, but their services were not as consistent as hoped. I discovered Mainichi Gakushuukai around the same period through their explanatory YouTube videos. Their credibility was apparent immediately, so I scheduled an assessment session. They offered invaluable assistance in all aspects, from essay tips to information about the university environment itself.
Attending their classes, I was struck by the tutors’ direct and stern approach, which later proved to be one of the keys to structuring my essays. Through several revisions and topic changes, we finally agreed on the ideal theme. After three months of rigorous writing, I completed the essays for Keio PEARL and Sophia SPSF. I then waited for the application season for Waseda to start. Not long after I had applied to Waseda, I received word from Waseda University that I had been accepted. Although I am eternally grateful to Waseda University for their counseling and guidance, I would strongly suggest Mainichi Gakushuukai to future applicants seeking professional help with their university dreams.
