慶應SFC 環境情報学部 AO入試(グローバル) 志望理由書 提出例(蟹江憲史研究会向け)

  1. Professor Norichika Kanie

Introduction of the discussion

SDGs is a new agenda that was inherited from MDGs, a global effort that has had the greatest effect on reducing poverty in history.

SDGs stands for Sustainable Development Goals and is adopted by the UN headquarters under the agreement of 193 member countries, including Japan, and is the “17 goals for transforming the world”.

These 17 goals have about 5 to 10 specific goals to achieve them, and a total of 169 specific goals have been set. The deadline is 2030, and various efforts are being made to achieve the SDGs around the world.

Finding the problem

What kind of efforts regarding SDGs are being made in Japan?

Argument

In the SDGs achievement ranking announced in July 2018, Japan is ranked 15th out of 156 countries, but the current level of recognition is still low.

Therefore, in order to promote regional revitalization and medium- to long-term sustainable town development, the government selected 29 local governments actively engaged in SDGs as “SDGs future cities”’ on June 15, 2018.

Conclusion

Therefore, I would like to promote the activities of the “SDGs”, which are still less recognized and many people think it as somebody else’s business, as more specific activities closely related to people’s lives and to disseminate them.

Examining the conclusion

By studying with Professor Norichika Kanie, who is Japan ’s leading expert in SDGs research, I am sure that I could obtain various perspectives regarding my research and it would open up new horizons for me.

Therefore, I believe that Keio University’s Faculty of Environment and Information Studies is the most suitable place for pursuing my research and social contributions, and I am aspiring to enter your school and study in your laboratory.
