Design is a collective term for work that creates new value by manipulating things related to our senses such as colors, patterns, spaces, and images.
For example, architectural design refers to the work of creating new “boxes” by manipulating the way humans interact with space.
In design, not only the sense is the target of operation. The sense that the design manipulates also includes some kinds of logic. The design language is a verbalization of the sense that includes the logic.
From the perspective of providing design, a design language is an act of a designer’s trial and error to create new value, or a verbalization of that act.
Finding the problem
The design language implementation has changed a lot in recent years. With the spread of portable high-speed computing environments, it has become an era in which the ability to manipulate abstract concepts by computers affects the quality of design.
Argument
The center of the design work is an act called programming or coding, and the design language is reflected in the source code that is the product.
By using mathematics describing the behavior of real-world fluids such as air, sound waves, and heat flow, and high-speed computers, new values that could not be produced by human biological perception ability are created.
Conclusion
Therefore, I would like to study the dance design that visualizes the change of air pressure and acoustic sound wave during dance performance. Dance is recognized as suitable for children’s emotional education, and in recent years school dance has become a compulsory dance.

By studying with Professor Akira Wakita, who is researching the creation of media that reinvents the natural world by making visible and audible the information on the natural world that exists in front of the eyes but cannot be perceived, I am sure that I could obtain various perspectives regarding my research and it would open up new horizons for me.
